The Message

The Message is a good Movie !! The movie is based upon the struggle of Prophet Mohammad and his disciples while establishing the foundations of Islam. Costumes and dialogues of the movie are phenomenal. Anthony Quin was only the renowned actor in the movie who got focus of director but not as a Hero. He had a very limited role. Producers encashed his popularity from Lawrence of Arabia , otherwise some other actor could also be placed in the role of Hamza ( played by Quin).  The film neither shows the picture nor any voice of prophet. I did not even imagine that , the film is based upon the life of Prophet Mohammad, I thought its just like Lawrence of Arabia and Lion of the Desert.  Muslims would like this movie and also one has to acknowledge that there is a great link between Islam and Christianity. The directors have given this message nicely. The words from Prophet narrated by his adopted son are divine . Those words can change anybody's life.

Saving Private Ryan

Steven Spielberg is highly inspired by Hollywood Classics. In Childhood and young days , he saw classic movies and now he produces/ directs movies giving tribute to old classic movies. Saving Private Ryan is world war II movie and a great work of Tom Hanks and Spielberg. The starting scene of the movie i.e. soldiers arriving at sea coast is inspired by Classic " The Longest day".  The first 27 minutes of the movie does not let anybody to take breathe. Gun and bomb battle between Americans and Germans is the main attraction in the movie. In one of the sequences, american soldiers attacked german bunkers by fire , German soldiers came out of fire , but somebody says " Don't shoot them, let them burn"... truly the scenes are terrific and full of violence. Blood , wounds , crying et.c...are extensively shown by Spielberg.

In another part , Tom Hanks sent on an impossible mission to search a person whose all brothers killed in teh war. Private Ryan Part was played by Matt Damon. Not a very strong character !! however, it gave him a good break. Through out the movie, Spielberg presented the war between Germans and American during tough times. How Soldiers are suffereed during war , and how people lose their brothers , kins , and freinds.  I did not enjoy the movie much , however it was a big hit and people says it was a great movie.

Sleepless in Seattle and An Affair to remember

Tom Hanks never did a bad movie !! He is the actor who can let anybody inspire from his all movies. One of the most accomplished actors of Hollywood.  He is not as charming as Tom Cruise , not as bold as Daniel Craig , not a heartthrobe like Richard Gere or Russell crowe , but he has a separate place in hollywood cinemas. That's why he is still one of  the favourites of Steven Spielberg and other directors.

I am not going to comment upon the story of Sleepless in Seattle , I discuss some thoughts on the movie , what I saw different. A small boy searching for a wife for his father --- great funny idea, he reached from Seattle to NY to search for a lady who wrote a letter to boy's father after getting impressed from the story of Tom Hanks over a radio about his deceased wife. She believes ,how much love is still existing in his heart. Even though she is engaged , she decided to move to another person whom she had a glimpse only. Also , one of the main interesting thing is , the movie gives a lead to watch a hollywood classic " An Affair to Remember " caste by great CARY GRANT.  Meg Ryan met Tom Hanks with his son on the top of Empire Building at NY ,the sequence of the movie was taken from An Affair to remember. When they met at Empire Building , the background music sounds like an old classic black and white movie of Hollywood.  Also , throughout the movie Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks did not meet each other except in a scene of seconds in which they did not even talk. Hence both actors got independent status in the movie and got an opportunity to work at best !! Nice movie to watch
