It is observed that Hollywood actors play same role in 2 to 3 movies after that due to some reasons or without any reasons they leave the role and somebody else takes over. Such custom was started by Sean Connery. He left the role of Bond after 3 movies and took back his role from George Lazenby ("On Majesty's secret service"). Again after some controversy , he left it. People see a person in a particular role and the hero thinks that the role is meant only for him but he forgets that producer / director of the movie do not think from such angle due to which the hero has to leave the role initially and then he always try to take his role back ..because public starts to recognise the new man and the original hero gets less attraction / less recognition. Same happened with Connery ... he came back as James Bond in an unofficial Bond movie " Never say Never Again " . Connery might not have digested the fame of Roger Moore , the most successful James Bond so far, so he wanted to show the world that he was real James Bond. Simple ordinary human thinking. But , he was right to some extent... whenever we think about Bond.. we think him first :). But.... one who comes , he has to go...
The same thing happens to Bourne Series. Matt Damon always wanted to leave the series ... once he left .. he could not imagine in dreams that a parallel Bourne series could be started and successful. Now he is repriving and coming back as Jason Bourne in the sequel to Bourne Ultimatum. Again, Producer and Directors always try to make money from old wines . Now they have both old and new wine.. ( Sequel of Bourne Legacy ... :) ) so even if Matt Damon leaves the role... the other hero is ready..
Same for Pierce Brosnan... he was being given the role of James Bond in Skyfall but he thought that he was Bond and producers would not think to take a new Bond... but he was wrong .. Daniel Craig came as a new Bond and more powerful.. People are liking both Pierce and Daniel. But none of us want to see Pierce Brosnan as Bond at the cost of Daniel Craig.. Even Brosnan expressed his wish before a few journalist that he may come back as Bond if he is given chance.. that is not confirmed news .. but I read in some local news paper. But after 4 bond movies with Daniel Craig.. this would be a pipe dream.
Now coming to Christian Bale ... he has left the role of Batman and now the role is being performed by Ben Affleck . He also played the role of a super human being and the movie did not work much , lets see how he is looked as Batman.
Today I read a news that Christian Bale has rejected speculation for repriving the role of Batman. If Ben Afflect win Kudos for his new role.. it may inculcate the spirit of Christian Bale to come back as Bat Mat. It is good time if comes back... people would like him, why does not our hero understand that a role is made for him but it is more important than a hero's wish and ego.
